The Permain Period

Climate
The Permian was an amazing, life developing period. In this amazing time, there was an amazing climate! The climate differed throughout different areas. In swamps and marshes it was cool and humid, and in deserts it was hot and dry. However, it did drop temperatures from the last period. The animals and plants suffered a small bit for around a year, but then they evolved and be able to adjust to the differencing heats. However, temperature extremes were only in some regions. It snowed, rained, and hailed, but only in certain areas. It snowed in Pangea's (The only continent back then) ice cap. It rained in the marshes, swamps, and rainforests. Also, it hailed in netureal areas, where it was sometimes cold. I would like to now talk about what major event happened. In the Permian time period, there was a large extinction. This made 95% of sea animals die, and 70% of land animals die. The theory is that a meteor landed in the water, and made a tusnami. However, I am here to talk about the climate. So, I will tell you how the animals adapted to the climate. In warm and sunny areas, the animals would develop fins to catch the sun, and in cold areas they would grow warm coats of fur. That is all of the climate from the Permian time period!
